Have you ever wondered what it would be like to speak an unwritten language?
How much do you know about your own consonant and vowel sounds?
In my work, I have seen many people experience their own sounds for the first time, as we develop their writing system from scratch. But it is also possible to experience this as a speaker of English. Most of us are unaware how little the English sound system corresponds to its writing system. This provides an opportunity for us to have a similar kind of experience discovering our sounds, maybe for the first time.
The Alphabet Experience is intended to be an engaging community experience, because language belongs to the community. And because, just like when working with a new language, we want everyone involved. But “Fun” is often a part of the feedback we get, as well.
To see this for yourself, book The Alphabet Experience for your family, small group, or church meeting —anywhere that everyone can see a computer screen.
